Why Cedar Path Expeditions?

Cedar: strong, wise, resilient; grounded yet flexible.

Path: a route characterized by its untamed nature, diverging from manicured trails

to lead individuals through less traveled terrain.

Expeditions: embody the spirit of adventure while traveling and living in a wild landscape, where the essence of

exploration thrives.

Our hope is that people walk away from a Cedar Path expedition feeling nourished, satisfied, physically recharged, happy and a little more at peace with life.

our Foundational Pillars

At Cedar Path Expeditions, we acknowledge the fractures in society that often leave individuals feeling disconnected and isolated. Western culture’s glorification of constant busyness, emphasis on toxic productivity and addiction to technology can foster these feelings of disconnection. We often see the result of this disconnection in how we treat the land and each other. Cedar Path aims to push back against these norms and offer an antidote by bringing connection, joy and gratitude to society, through our expeditions.

Our philosophy revolves around three foundational pillars:

  • connection to land

  • connection to self

  • connection to others

We firmly believe that restoring these connections is paramount for healing ourselves and the Earth.

Cultivating meaningful moments and deeper connections are at the heart of our expeditions.

connection to Nature

Our connection to nature transcends a mere acquaintanceship —it's an interwoven relationship between humans and the Earth. Despite societal teachings that preach separation and individualism, the truth lies in our profound interconnectedness. Relearning this fundamental truth is the key to healing both ourselves and the planet.

At Cedar Path we consciously cultivate and deepen this relationship, which begins to mend the fragmented aspects within us while simultaneously contributing to the Earth's healing.

“Every breath is a sacrament, an affirmation of our connection with all other living things, a renewal of our link with our ancestors and a contribution to generations yet to come. Our breath is a part of life's breath, the ocean of air that envelopes the earth.”
― David Suzuki

Connection to self

Embarking on an expedition is more than a physical adventure; it's a gift of time and space you give to yourself. Our expeditions stand out through our deliberate emphasis on creating space for self-reflection and individual exploration within the landscapes we traverse. In the company of Nature, as a mentor itself, you’ll have the opportunity to build your reservoirs of resiliency and compassion. Our expeditions allow you to discover not only the vastness of the world around you but also the depth of your own being.

“Because you are alive, everything is possible.”

“Knowing that you love the earth changes you, activates you to defend and protect and celebrate. But when you feel that the earth loves you in return, that feeling transforms the relationship from a one-way street into a sacred bond.”

“I want to think again of dangerous and noble things.
I want to be light and frolicsome.
I want to be improbable beautiful and afraid of nothing,
as though I had wings.”
